Nice to meet you! I'm Alice
I'm a professional organizer working out of Greater Victoria, British Columbia. I studied to be a historian, but left academia to have more flexibility to care for my kids. I've downsized our lives to move across provinces, built our family life in small apartments, and learned from (lots of) experience that families living with ADHD, ASD, and complex medical needs require out-of-the-box thinking when it comes to organization and home systems. I started New Leaf Home Organization to help individuals and families develop organizational strategies that work for them, so they can enjoy their homes with less stress and more satisfaction.

I can help you find space for the crib, the hockey stick, or your teenager's new desk -- or streamline your kitchen to make weeknight meals easier on everyone.
ADHD
If you or your kids (or both!) have ADHD, you're probably immensely creative... but need some outside-the-box thinking on keeping things organized and easy-to-find. We'll use that creativity to find the structures your brain(s) need.
Downsizing
Moving to a smaller place can be overwhelming. I can help you sort furniture and possessions, arrange relocation of items, and support you in making intentional choices about how you use your new space.
Decluttering
Are you tired of your home, or tired of all the stuff? A decluttering project helps you get the most from your home by reducing stress and effort, while giving you more room for the most important thing you do in your home: living.

The Process
Systems
Now we build: we look at the storage and organization systems you have in place and what you may need in order to get the best use from your space and your things.
Sorting
This is where things get messy. We go through all the "stuff", shelf by shelf or room by room, to sort and group items. I'm cheerleader, coach, tutor, and assistant-- in one.
Strategies
Organization is a tool-- it's meant to help you, not chain you to the work of maintaining it. The goal is always to develop systems that fit with your needs, ensuring that any changes to your family's habits are realistic and sustainable.
Consultation
First, we set up a walk-through (45 minutes to an hour) where we talk about your goals for the project, its scope, and any particular challenges. We'll also discuss a timeline and any additional services needed.
